January 6 panel receives Eric Trump, Guilfoyle phone records

The House Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol has subpoenaed and obtained records of a phone number related to one of former President Donald Trump’s children, Eric Trump, as well as Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is engaged to Donald Trump Jr., sources said. CNN.

However, the information could be an important investigative tool for the committee in putting together a road map of who communicated before, during and after January 6.

CNN reported last month that the commission had subpoenaed the phone records of more than 100 people as part of its investigation.

Guilfoyle’s cell phone number has been confirmed by sources familiar with her number and her text messages. There is no indication that the committee directly subpoenaed Eric Trump or Guilfoyle for interviews or documents. Nor is there any evidence that the committee subpoenaed communications records involving other Trump children, Ivanka Trump or Donald Trump Jr., or son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The committee released text messages Donald Trump Jr sent to Meadows while the January 6 attacks were underway, which Meadows voluntarily provided to the committee before he ceased cooperation.

Reached by CNN Tuesday afternoon, the committee declined to comment on Trump and Guilfoyle’s new subpoenas.

But in an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon on Monday night, select committee member Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat, said, “We’re aggregating information from the President’s inner circle. and others who were positioned to see and hear the conspiracy that led to the riot. “

Guilfoyle’s attorney denied to ProPublica that the texts were related to the January 6 protest or that Guilfoyle was involved in fundraising or approving speakers.
