Report: Committee on January 6 subpoenaed Eric Trump phone records, Kimberly Guilfoyle

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol has subpoenaed and obtained the phone records of Eric, son of former President Donald Trump, People with knowledge of the matter told CNN.

This appears to be the first time the jury has issued a subpoena to a member of the Trump family. CNN reported that the committee also subpoenaed and received phone records of Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News personality who is engaged to Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

The logs show information about incoming and outgoing phone calls, including date, time and length, CNN reported. The commission also received logs of the text messages, although the records show no content, the sources said. There is no indication that the jury asked Eric Trump or Guilfoyle, both of whom spoke at the “Stop Theft” rally before the Capitol attack, and make false statements about voter fraud, sit for interviews or submit other documents.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), a member of the Jan. 6 committee, told CNN’s Don Lemon that the panel is “aggregating information from [Trump’s] inner circle and others in position to see and hear the plot that led to the riot. “Lemon asked if the Trump family would share any information, and Lofgren declined to say and added, ‘nothing to discuss. ” Read more at CNN.
