Orange County reports 2,845 new cases and 28 more deaths over weekend – Orange County Register
The OC Health Care Administration reported 2,845 new coronavirus cases over the weekend, bringing the cumulative total since tracking began in the county to 527,071 on Monday, Nov.
There were 31,017 new cases reported in the two-week period as of Monday. This is down from the 47,099 reported on Friday for the previous two weeks.
There were 126 fewer patients who tested positive for COVID-19 reported in Orange County hospitals over the weekend, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 620. There are 123 patients with COVID-19 in the units. special treatment.
The county reported 28 more deaths as of Monday, bringing the virus death toll in Orange County to 6,180.
Data on deaths in the county is compiled from death certificates or collected through case investigations and can take weeks to process. The most recent death recorded was on January 27
Of the 6,180 reported deaths from the virus, 1,241 were residents of skilled nursing facilities, 655 were in assisted living facilities, two were OC prisoners, and 19 were listed. is homeless.
An estimated 438,530 people have recovered from the disease. The number of people who have recovered is based on the previous 28 days of cumulative cases.
