‘Do not doubt my faith,’ shouted Congressman Crenshaw at the young girl

“Who do you say I am?”

Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) scathingly answered a young girl’s question about his Christian faith at the Montgomery County Tea Party fundraiser on Monday, Newsweek report.

“[Y]You lied about being a Christian,” she said, according to Newsweek. The first part of her question couldn’t be heard in the original video, says Growth Club Vice President Scott T. Parkinson shared on Twitter.

The asker then read a quote from Crenshaw . from March 2020 appearance on Jocko Willink’s podcast.

Crenshaw speak in the interview.

The questioner said she couldn’t “wrap my head around this.”

“I can help you,” Crenshaw replied affirmatively. “Put some time after ‘Jesus,’ and don’t doubt my faith.”

On the video one can be heard saying “Wow!” in doubt. Another exclaimed, “You fool!” while another added, “You mustn’t talk to a kid like that!”

Crenshaw’s comments on the podcast seem to have originated from the thoughts of clinical psychologist and author Jordan Peterson.

“I have a whole chapter [in my book, Fortitude,] about heroism – and to be honest, I got some of that philosophy from you – on how to build hero archetypes,” said Crenshaw speak in one appearance on Peterson’s podcast earlier this month.

Peterson has introduce for Jesus as the ultimate hero archetype but still agnostic questions about the divinity and resurrection of Jesus.

Ironically, this happened the night before some Christians celebrated Mass Saint Peter’s Confession. Celebration of the apostle Peter’s declaration that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God” in response to Jesus’ question, “Who do you say I am?”

Crenshaw is a Methodist.
