1 person killed in 4 car crash in Laguna Hills – Orange County Register
One man was killed and at least one other driver suffered moderate injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on rainy roads in Laguna Hills on Saturday morning, January 15, authorities said. blame said.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Carrie Braun said the crash happened at Oso Parkway and Cabot Road around 9 a.m.
Captain Brett Buffington of the Orange County Fire Department said four vehicles were involved. The second driver, a man, was taken to the trauma center with moderate injuries.
Authorities said it was not immediately clear whether two other drivers were injured or if there were any passengers on board.
Many witnesses have stopped and investigators are interviewing them to find out what could have been the cause of the crash, Braun said.
Video from Loudlabs News shows a Ford SUV and a Hyundai sedan, both with front end damage. A Jeep was badly damaged in the back. Damage to the fourth vehicle was not immediately determined.
The intersection is located just west of southbound Highway 5 and is impacting the Oso Parkway deviance, Braun said. Motorists have been asked to avoid the area around the intersection while the sheriff’s department investigates.
