Daily heat records broken Sunday at UCLA and in Anaheim – Orange County Register
Daily high temperature records were tied and broken across Southern California on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13, officials reported.
It was the second day in a row of record heat in the region.

A thermometer at UCLA recorded a peak of 87 degrees, breaking the previous daily high from 2015 by one degree, according to the National Weather Service office in Los Angeles. Burbank hit a daily record of 88 degrees and LAX hit its highest water mark of 85 degrees, officials said.
In Orange County, Anaheim has broken a daily high of 90 since 2015 after exceeding one degree, the NWS’ San Diego office said. Additionally, Anaheim broke the record for its lowest daily temperature, only dropping to 60 degrees on Sunday, officials said.
Cooldown is expected on Monday and this week. The NWS said temperatures in Downtown Los Angeles, which hit 86 degrees on Sunday, will hit 80 degrees on Monday and 65 degrees on Tuesday.
