3 keys to Jets to win tough against Buffalo Bills – Orange County Register
1. JOSH ALLEN PRESSURE
When Josh Allen is pressured, he turns into a pumpkin. Under pressure, he completes only 44% of his passes (with seven INTs) and has a passing stat of 57. If you don’t pressure him, good luck (28x TD vs. picks, 70% completion rate and passer rating of 103). That’s not something this Gang Green team does well (third worst in the NFL with pressure of only 22% backs), but it’s Sunday’s mission.
2. RUN ROCK
The Jets are facing the best passing defense in the NFL as the Bills are holding opponents for 172 passing yards per game. So if the Jets hit Mike LaFleur happily passing, the NFL needs to do a drug test on him. Rely on the running game that produced 423 yards in the last two matches. The jet also brought back lead Michael Carter from the concussion protocol. So no excuses.
3. STOP RUN
The last time the Jets played the Bills, they left 139 yards on the ground and lost 45-17. The jet forces have no means of eliminating discomfort if they cannot stop the run. That would allow the Bills to pick their poison and keep the Jets’ defenses off balance. Last week, the Jets almost equalized the sadness against the Bucs in part because they held Tampa 62 yards above the ground.
