3.5 earthquakes struck near Temescal Valley – Orange County Register

A preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck southwest Riverside County late Sunday afternoon, sending tremors across Corona, Riverside and parts of Orange County.

The quake’s epicenter was detected about 6.5 kilometers underground at 3:24 p.m., beneath the foothills of Santa Ana Mountain in the southwestern Temescal Valley, according to the United States Geological Survey.
