A brush fire that broke out Thursday, Feb. ten has led to evacuate orders and the cancellation of classes at an elementary school, authorities said.
The Emerald fire has burned 145 acres so far as of 10:30 am, according to officials. Evacuation orders were issued for Irvine Cove and Emerald Bay residents, according to the city of Laguna Beach. An evacuation warning was in effect for the North Coast community.
