Sorokin, Islanders Stand Tall, Hand Flyers 8th consecutive loss

There really doesn’t seem to be an end to it Flyers. Like their 10-game losing streak just over a month ago, things continue to free-fall.

That was the case again on Monday night. The Flyers had two power games in the first period and were unable to produce more than one shot on goal. The Islanders they didn’t cash in either, but eventually took advantage of a few of their chances, winning 4-1 against the Flyers’ eighth straight loss.

The first period is mostly unstable. The Flyers had a strong match, but didn’t create much. After 20 minutes, the Islanders led 12-8.

The second period follows a similar path. The two teams continued to struggle to win the right to go up. In this period, the performance of the goalkeepers is more, because both Ilya Sorokin and Martin Jones have made some big savings.
