OC Representative Young Kim has tested positive for COVID-19 – Orange County Registrar
Young Kim’s representative, R-La Habra, announced in a tweet Saturday, January 8, which she tested positive for COVID-19.
Kim, 59, who represents Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, said she feels fine and she has received both the vaccines and a booster shot. While recovering, Kim said she “will vote proxies as I monitor my symptoms”.
Kim is in isolation at her home in Orange County and will be there “as she monitors her symptoms and follows her doctor’s advice,” said Callie Strock, a spokeswoman from Kim’s office.
“Me and my team are continuing to work around the clock to serve #CA39 and I look forward to returning to live work soon,” Kim said in the tweet.
Kim assumed his post in the 39th congressional district last January, after victory over incumbent Democrat Representative Gil Cisneros. In December, she announced that she plans to run for office re-elected next year in the new CA-40 county. Her office will remain open while she recovers.
That county includes eastern Orange County, from Yorba Linda to Rancho Mission Viejo, plus Chino Hills in San Bernardino County
