Huntington Beach Crossing Woman Killed in Stanton – Orange County Register

A motorist killed a woman in Huntington Beach as she crossed a street in Stanton early Sunday, officials said.

The woman, identified as Lisa Underhill, 62, was walking on the boardwalk near Beach Avenue and Lampson Avenue at about 2:45 a.m., Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said. know. That’s when a driver showed up that hit her and left her dead.

Detectives found evidence that the vehicle was likely a 2007-2009 Toyota Camry. It’s not clear what led them to that conclusion. They don’t know the color of the car.

Pictures of the car were not available on Sunday. Detectives have yet to gather any security camera footage, if any, from nearby stores.

Detectives are looking for anyone who may have seen a vehicle believed to have been up and running or a vehicle that was fleeing the area around the time of the crash.
