Five OC Women’s Basketball Players Nominated for McDonald’s All-American Game – Orange County Register

Five Orange County women’s basketball players were nominated for the 45th All-American Game at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on March 29.
The college entrance exam players were Mater Dei forwards Lani White (Utah) and Soleil Montrose (UTEP), point guard Rosary Kaylee Byon (Utah Valley), Orangewood Academy point guard Hannah Stines (Washington) and money guard Troy Jada Wynn (Colorado) striker / striker.
Stines is averaging 17.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.5 interceptions.
Wynn, a player who transferred from Washington State, was averaging 16.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists before suffering a bruised knee last month. She is expected to return at the end of January.
White is averaging 13.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals while Montrose is averaging 9.1 points and nearly 4 rebounds.
Players are nominated by a coach, athletic director, principal, or the McDonald’s All-American Game Selection Committee.
The 24-girl lineup will be announced on January 25. The Girls’ Game, which is for seniors only, will air on March 29 at 3:30 p.m., on ESPN2. The boys game will continue.
