Super Bowl LVI has 101.1 million TV viewers, up from 2021 – Orange County Register
NEW YORK – An estimated 101.1 million people watched the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl over Cincinnati Bengals on NBC and Telemundo, up from 2021 and limited to the NFL’s warm-up schedule.
Last year’s match had 92 million TV viewers, the lowest since 2006.
Nielsen said another 11.2 million people streamed the game, bringing the total audience to 112.3 million.
The game has gone downhill, like most playoff games this season, and the competition often adds to the viewership. The game defies TV trends, which consistently see viewership drop year after year.
Nielsen said 99.2 million people watched the match on NBC and another 1.9 million on the Spanish-speaking Telemundo network.
