Young Thug’s child’s mother was killed after an argument over a bowling ball

LaKevia Jackson, a 31-year-old Atlanta woman who shared a child with Young Thug, was shot and killed after an alleged “fight over a bowling ball.”

CBS46 confirmed the murder on Friday (March 18) and reported that Jackson was shot in the parking lot of the Metro Fun Center in southwest Atlanta. Investigators told the outlet that Jackson was attending a birthday party for her best friend (who remains unnamed in the report) and was attacked by the gunman as she left the venue; Before leaving, she was involved in an argument over a bowling ball.

Speaking to reporter Tori Cooper, Jackson’s mother, Sherina, claimed the shooter spent 20 minutes waiting for Jackson in the venue parking lot. She reportedly spoke to Jackson that day and explained, “I didn’t realize this would be the last time I spoke to my baby. I could hear her crying and screaming on the phone then her best friend said she wasn’t breathing! I lost my baby to a bowling ball.”

In a statement provided CBS46, Lt. Ralph Woolfolk — the Atlanta Police Department’s homicide commander — said, “This is truly an atrocity. A young lady lost her life because of a bowling ball. We keep talking about conflict resolution, and this is an escalated dispute, so we’re going to work through this case all night and find the person responsible. We know who it is, so go ahead and face yourself.”

Jackson and Young Thug (aka Jeffery Williams) met before the latter made his breakthrough as a rapper. Her son, who is not named in the report, is 14, making him Williams’ oldest child.
