FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) – The City of Fort Wayne intends to redesign a safer South Anthony Boulevard and the community is invited to share before the official improvements.
In the latest project for the Southeast Strategy Update, the city’s public works and community development departments said in a press release that they are tackling roadway improvements primarily because of current pedestrian and bicyclist safety concerns.
According to the press release, the redesign could include new lighting, aesthetics, and facilities for walking, cycling, and general transit.
Entries can be submitted until the end of October. The city is expected to announce the official design concepts sometime next year.
The updates include a section of South Anthony between Rudisill Boulevard and US 27.
