Woman shot in the face in South Shore
CHICAGO — A woman was shot dead in the city’s South Shore neighborhood Saturday morning.
Police officers responded to a call to fire and found a woman with gunshot wounds to the face and lower body at approximately 4:18 am at Block 7100 of South Bennett Avenue.
She was transported to the University of Chicago in critical condition.
No further information was provided and police are still investigating the incident.
