Who cares about Valentine’s Day when Ben Affleck’s “Daredevil” is 20 years old?

The 14th day of February has long been known as one of the most blessed days on the calendar, or at least it has been since 2003, when director Mark Steven Johnson and Ben Affleck conspired to bring the world the gift daredevil.
One of the many tantalizingly underperforming Marvel Comics adaptations to come out before Kevin Feige came out of nowhere to change the face of cinema forever. If you watch the film through a modern lens, there’s a decent chance you’ll be longing for the days of frosted-spiky metal long before the credits roll.

By the end, Affleck had such a bad taste in his mouth that he vowed he would never play a superhero again, at least until Zack Snyder called and decided to offer him an even more iconic costumed crimefighter Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s understandable why Daredevil put him off, though, and it’s not as if the dimly lit blockbuster’s reputation has improved over time.
In fact, the most hilarious part daredevil is that the whole feature has been greatly improved with the addition of Coolio. The Director’s Cut is by far the best version of the unconvincing dropouts, and a large chunk of the extra minutes revolves around a subplot involving the rap icon. Sure, the R rating helps, but we’re going to put it on Coolio’s shoulders.
Single, married, divorced, engaged or anything in between, why not celebrate the most romantic day of the year by kicking back and celebrating the 20th anniversary of daredeviland turn Evanescence up to full volume?
