A President’s Day lesson became controversial when a Norco parent saw video of their daughter among students singing “We want him out” after her teacher asked the class who the president is and “what do we want with him.” do?”.

The video of the 4- and 5-year-olds singing the political statement about Joe Biden was posted to an internal app for parents of Turning Point Christian School students, and this is how Christina McFadden saw it.

She said she watched the video several times in horror.

“The teacher indoctrinates her students” McFadden to KTLA. “Everyone has the right to believe in what they want and my daughter was not given that opportunity. And especially at that age, I don’t even think she can understand making an informed choice about who and what to believe in.”

McFadden immediately contacted the school. Officials took down the video, apologized, and informed parents that it did not share the school’s “philosophy of honoring and respecting authority, including those in government positions.”

McFadden was told the teacher had been spoken to, the video was reviewed and officers “agreed with it”.

While her daughter found it funny, McFadden said that despite asking, she still doesn’t know what the lesson was about.

Meanwhile, McFadden’s daughter has changed schools. She hopes this incident will teach parents to be informed.

“At this point, it’s not about the school, it’s about letting the students know that this is happening,” she said.

A school administrator told KTLA Monday that officials would not release a statement and would not comment.
