Watch The Strokes make their live debut with “Eternal Summer” at the band’s first show of 2022

The Strokes headlined Argentina’s Lollapalooza last night (March 19), marking their first performance of 2022.

Julian Casablancas and Co. crowned the second night of the festival in the Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires. Other headliners of the night were Doja Cat and Machine Gun Kelly.

The Strokes, whose latest album was 2020’s The New Abnormal, have not performed since their Brooklyn Steel show in New York last November. During their set at Lollapalooza, the band performed “Eternal Summer,” giving the track its live debut.

Elsewhere during their set, The Strokes brought back some old favorites, including “Electricityscape” and “Trying Your Luck,” both of which the band hasn’t played live since 2017. They also performed “You’re So Right” for the first time. since 2016.

The Strokes head to Chile tonight (March 20) for a second Lollapalooza performance as headliners.

Then in May they’ll play a headlining show in Mexico, with support from Mac DeMarco and The War On Drugs.

The concert will take place on May 19th at the Foro Sol in Mexico City. Remaining tickets can be found here.

The band have also been included in the line-up for this year’s Roskilde Festival alongside Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion and The Smile.

The Danish festival returns this year from June 25th to July 2nd after both the 2020 and 2021 editions were canceled due to the COVID pandemic.

Dua Lipa and Tyler, the Creator will direct this year’s edition. Other top acts include Haim and St. Vincent, Jada, The Blaze and Thomas Helmig.
