JOHNSTOWN, NY (WTEN) — A deer crashed through a window at the Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, New York on Monday. According to Administrator Neal Van Slyke, the deer spent about 10 minutes inside and then fell through another window on the way out.
The video shows the deer in the physical therapy room of the nursing home. The deer then broke out again through another window.
The video was captured by worker Bill Betts, who must have been filming from another room. You can hear Betts narrate the situation and even yell at a colleague who didn’t know what was happening on the other side of the door.
Van Slyke said the deer had returned to the woods with no sign of injury when police arrived. Two days later he said everything was back to normal. The windows are boarded up but should be fixed in the next few days. All other equipment in the building is fine, Van Slyke said.
