If you’ve always wanted to play Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown with Akira Yuki disguised as Tekken‘s Kazuya Mishima, you’re in luck – Sega has announced an upcoming collaboration between the games.
While full details will be revealed at a later date, a new trailer sees Akira (cosplay, if you will, as Kazuya) take on Lau Chan, who is disguised as Kazuya’s father, Heihachi Mishima.
Sega will not be adding any new movesets to the characters, so it’s important to note that these are cosmetic changes only and only Kazuya’s and Heihachi’s outfits have been revealed so far. That said, they go beyond the clothes as Lau even has Heihachi’s haircut and Kazuya has his devil eye too.
Netflix recently announced a new one Tekken called anime Tekken: bloodline (coming later in 2022) and combined with the crossover event with Virtual Fighter 5Her fans are wondering if that means a new one Tekken game is on the way.
A Reddit user said, “Between this and the anime announcement, they have one to prepare for Tekken 8 Notice. I don’t see many other reasons for trying to generate Tekken Hype like this out of nowhere.”
Another Reddit user added, “Your turn in the cycle too. All big players have a new entry to sell DLC for except them.” As a matter of fact, tekke 7 was released in 2015 and sold over 6 million copies by May 2021.
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown was a bit of a surprise from Sega last year as the series went dormant for a decade before coming back exclusively for PS4 and even coming to PlayStation Plus for a few months.
In other news, WWE2K22 Fans have uploaded creations from MyFaction mode. These wrestlers are meant to be exclusive to this mode and 2K has started removing them from the Community Creation Hub.
