When the game ended in a 0-0 draw, Carra found a new way to chat after the game.
He couldn’t help but poke fun at Sturridge’s gloves during the broadcast.
The £900 Prada gloves each had tiny pockets.
Carragher, 45, asked: “What really got me excited is what’s there in that glove?”
Sturridge, 33, replied: “It’s all about that drip, that drip baby.”
The former defender then asked what was in the bag – and Sturridge replied: “Absolutely nothing.”
He then pointed the empty bag straight at the camera.
Carney asked, “What’s in there?”

Sturridge said seriously, “Chewing gum, you might be able to squeeze a house key in there.”
Cates joked in her closing statement: “But tonight at Stamford Bridge we saw two sides that once again failed to get a grip on each other.”
This caused hysterical laughter from Carragher, Sturridge and Carney.
After seeing the exchange, one fan wrote: “Tbf Sturridge was a top expert.”
A second tweeted: “Some brilliant TV again from Sky.”
And a third commented: “I love Daniel Sturridge so much.”
Another user posted: “I’m all for Daniel Sturridge Panditry Mind. Quality.”
While another added: “Sturridge on the drip. I see him.”
Sturridge played with Carragher in the last six months of the centre-back’s Anfield career in 2013.
He most recently played for Perth Glory in Australia, where he only played six games before departing last year.
Sturridge explored the current woes of his old Liverpool side and pointed to “mental exhaustion” – as well as the loss of Sadio Mane.
He said: “I think it’s the life of a footballer and a team that has been pushing their absolute limits for a very long time.

“They’ve had a lot of great results and won a lot of trophies over the last few years but now they’re in a little slip, I’d like to say a little bit in the sense that they’ve lost a lot of confidence, mental exhaustion, I would say it’s there too.
“They work with the philosophy that they lost one of their best players in Sadio Mane, which of course was at the start of the season, but the team has started to play differently and the identity they had before isn’t essential the same now.”
