(Video) Paula Patton seasons her chicken after putting it in fat and social media is confused by it

On Monday, social media had a lot to say about Paula Patton’s fried chicken recipe. Even though the video was posted last month, it looks like it’s only just started.
In the six-minute video, Paula states that the recipe came from her mother and that she cooked it for her son’s class. As she washes the chicken and then stuffs it in a ziplock bag with flour, she shares with the audience her five steps to making the dish. But one step that’s noticeably missing: seasoning the chicken before turning it in flour.
As she speaks to the camera, she puts the chicken in avocado oil. The mother of a child then points to the three spices that are used: Lawry’s Seasoning Salt, organic pepper and paprika. Patton says she “dusts” the chicken with the three ingredients. Finally, she turns the chicken over with two forks and takes it out to eat. “These chickens are ready to go.”
One person said, “Some videos are much better when left in the dark or on camera.” Another person said, “Somebody come and get her, she flavors the oil.” Another person said, “Seasoning chicken while cooking is absurd.”
Roomies, what do you think of your recipe?
