Ukraine: Nancy Pelosi reads Bono poem honoring war-torn nation | Messages

Nancy Pelosi read a poem by Bono about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to honor the war-torn nation.

During the annual Friends of Ireland White House luncheon on Thursday, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives read out the words written by the U2 frontman.

The poem – which refers both to Saint Patrick’s banishment of snakes from Ireland and to the current situation in Ukraine – concludes by comparing Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Saint Patrick himself.

Pelosi and Bono have both been mocked on social media since then.
