Former bantamweight champion ‘No Mercy’ will be hoping to put decision losses behind Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley when he takes on the in-form Georgian.

Yan wasn’t happy with his decision loss to O’Malley at UFC 280
Yan vs Dvalishvili: what was said
Yan was beaten by O’Malley at UFC 280, but a chance encounter earlier put him on a collision course with Dvalishvili.
“When I saw him in Abu Dhabi, he was getting ready to fight [Sean] O’Malley – it was like three days before the fight and I was respectful,” Dvalishvili told MMA Fighting.
“I was standing alone on the other side, but he was talking to Aljo and I don’t want to get too close to him. He had a fight, he reduced his weight. He was just doing his own thing and I was respectful.
“He pointed at me and said, ‘He’s small.’ I go and get up [near him] Like it was funny, I tried to size him up and then he pointed back at me and said I was a ninny.”
“If he didn’t argue then of course I would hit him,” added Dvalishvili. “Especially he said just before that, when he came to Aljo, Petr said – I’ll just repeat his words – ‘If I see Aljo and Aljo’s team, we will kill and crush his team.’ He mentioned that. Like what the hell? I’m his team, I’m Aljo’s team. He wants to smash me.”
