Two women killed in separate incidents in Limerick and Dublin – The Irish Times

Gardaí are investigating after two women were killed in separate incidents, one in Limerick City and one in Dublin on Tuesday 15.
A woman in her 60s was found dead in Carpenterstown, Dublin 15 around 10am yesterday morning.
Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances and her body has been taken to Dublin City Mortuary where an autopsy will take place.
The results from this determine the further course of the investigation.
A woman in her 20s was found dead in a block of flats on Dock Road, Limerick City, around 1.30pm yesterday.
The woman is believed to have been fatally assaulted.
A Garda forensic team conducted a technical examination of the crime scene, and investigators called in the state pathologist’s office to perform an autopsy.
Anyone with camera footage of Dock Road and O’Curry Street from 1pm to 2pm is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on (061) 212400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or to turn to any Garda station.
Meanwhile, a man in his 50s died in a house fire at a property in Douglas Road West, Douglas, Co. Cork yesterday afternoon.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
