Tried the new Dobbies Easter Bunny Breakfast – it was an early start but worth it

DOBBIES garden centers across Scotland kick off the season with family friendly events.

And we got a chance to try out a fun morning at the Breahead store on the outskirts of Glasgow ahead of Thursday’s launch.

It was an early start – the celebrations begin at 8.30am – but anyone with a toddler will be used to getting up with the lark.

I set out with my three year old, who spotted the giant furry bunny and rushed after him, along with a crowd of excited youngsters.

The adorable bunny led the children Pied Piper style to the Dobbies Cafe, which was decked out in spring style for the event and decorated with brightly colored eggs and spring flowers.

We all sat at nicely decorated tables before summarizing the day’s schedule and most importantly, serving our delicious breakfast.

There is a good selection for adults and children and my tripler roll was a treat while my little boy destroyed his sausage, bacon, hash browns and beans.

After enjoying our meal, it was time to do some gardening.

All the children were fitted with protective gear and taken to a delightful little planting area where they could plant their own mini carrots. My little boy loved that part of the day and has been taking great care of his pot ever since.

Next up was an in-store scavenger hunt, with the kids racing through the center with one of Dobbies’ enthusiastic staff looking for giant eggs and clues. They had a brilliant time racing around.

And finally, the little ones were allowed to play a few games before being able to take a photo with the Easter bunny and take home a treat.

The event, which runs from April 9th ​​to 10th and is aimed at children aged three to ten, costs £9.99 for children and from £7.45 for adults, including breakfast.

My little boy is still talking about hopping after the bunny and it was a great way to start the Easter season.
