“God will prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies,” Tory Lanez said tweeted just hours before today’s hearing at the Megan Thee Stallion case of bodily harm. Luckily for Stallion (aka Megan Pete) and her ever-loyal Stans, God apparently placed this table for Lanez in a Los Angeles County jail cell, where he was sent back Tuesday for taunting her on social media, which is what violated his restraining order.
Lanez, also known as Daystar Peterson, was arrested in court for violating both a discovery protection order and a face-to-face contact order. He had engaged with Pete online in the weeks leading up to the hearing, although he was specifically forbidden from interacting with her or even mentioning her. So the rapper put in handcuffs and remanded in custody pending an amended $350,000 bail.
Today’s hearing is only the last in a long saga since Lanez allegedly fired bullets at Pete’s feet after a verbal altercation in July 2020. The rapper was calculated on October 8, 2020, with one count of assaulting Pete with a semi-automatic firearm that “inflicted grievous bodily harm personally” and one count of carrying a concealed, loaded, and unregistered firearm in a vehicle. A protective order was also issued against Lanez, prohibiting him from contacting Pete. A month later, to no one’s surprise, he pleaded not guilty and was released on $190,000 bail.
In February, longtime Lanez ally and blogger DJ Akademiks tweeted released a “BREAKING” news update and claimed the rapper’s DNA was never found on the gun that allegedly shot Pete. The tweet was eventually deleted, but was still enough to cause a backlash in the case and a heated argument on social media.
“Y’all trying to win a social media campaign, this is MY REAL LIFE! Y’all trying to get all the retweets SPREADING FALSE TALES!” Megan wrote on Instagram.
It wasn’t the first time Pete and her legal team had done this accused Lanez, along with DJ Akademiks, to plant stories to further a narrative they have repeatedly deemed “fake.” He claims He slept with both her and her former best friend Kelsey Nicole, leading to the two women fighting on the night of the shooting. Pete asked to disagree.
“You keep saying that my boyfriend and I had a fight because of you, and that’s not true! Why do you skip shooting, just admit that you shot me because she definitely didn’t and I’m not fucking going to shoot myself,” Pete answered via her Instagram story.
While Pete actually posted photos The wounds she sustained on her feet that night have recently benefited celebrities including Rihanna, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Kylie Jenner unfollowed the Something for the hotties Rappers on social media, and many “fans” have publicly questioned whether or not she’s telling the truth.
“Sluts like these have ACTUAL CUM FOR BRAIN. Fat eating ass sluts. My hospital records are in the public domain, prosecutors have issued a statement…You are choosing to be stupid at this point. You’d better hope no man ever attacks you and no one, especially women, believe you!” she recently tweeted in answer to all questions.
If convicted, Lanez faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison. We hope today’s hearing not only puts an end to the speculation, but finally brings some peace to our favorite Houston hottie.
