Three theories from Coronation Street: revenge of the rapist, brutal murder and affair

TRACY Barlow knows all about her daughter Amy’s rape and is willing to make Aaron Sandford pay for his actions.

Meanwhile, Stephen Reid could be trying to finish what he started. Here’s what could be happening on Coronation Street this week.

1. Stephen will kill again

Portrayed by Canadian actor Todd Boyce, the serial killer walks on eggshells while trying to keep his murderous exploits a secret.

But when an established Weatherfield lady returns after a while, he knows it’s only a matter of time before he gets caught.

This week on ITV, Carla Connor (Alison King) returns from the clinic and redeems his claim for compensation with an apologetic Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).

The builder fired back at Carla after she almost ran him over with a van while under the influence of LSD.

Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) calls Stephen and makes his case for a profit cut.

However, Stephen pays no attention to him as he is distracted by Carla’s arrival.

What will Stefan do?

One might surmise that Stephen might be tempted to finish what he started, taking over the Underworld factory and getting rid of Carla entirely.

Could Carla be on his hit list?

Who else could be on his radar?

2. Aaron will show his dark side again

Amy Barlow is trying to walk away from her rape, but her mother, Tracy (Kate Ford), is more than willing to take action against Aaron Sandford herself this week.

Nineteen-year-old Amy (played by Elle Mulvaney) was taken advantage of after a drunken night out.

Back then, Aaron (James Craven) had just broken up with his girlfriend Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), but immediately tried to win her back.

Although Aaron tried to brush things off and insisted that she agree with him, Amy decided to tell her mother Tracy everything and then went to the police.

But the authorities appeared to dismiss her case.

Amy is concerned that her mother put up flyers about Aaron in Weatherfield, but the florist assures her that no one will ever know it was her.

Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) then finds a flyer at the florist’s print shop, leading Abi Webster (Sally Carman) to put two and two together and confront Aaron.

Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) later calls #1 and tells Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy about the flyer on the flower shop’s printer.

Amy is devastated to find out people know about her rape riot.

In later scenes, Tracy takes it a step further to avenge her daughter and goes to the police station, where she tapes herself to the counter.

She explains to the desk sergeant that she will not go anywhere until Amy’s rape allegation is taken seriously.

With her free hand, she calls Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who is not only a teacher but also a journalist, with potentially explosive consequences.

Steve and Amy later join her at the police station and find Tracy about to give an interview to Suki, the Gazette’s reporter.

Aadi Alahan soon gets wind of Amy’s rape and confronts Aaron.

With his reputation on the line, could Aaron decide to get revenge on Tracy and Amy?

Though Tracy has grown and learned from her past mistakes, can Aaron keep his cool and refrain from using violence to cover up his actions?

3. Sarah and Damon are going to have an affair

Soap bosses teased earlier this year that Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) is set to form a shocking romance with a well-known Corrie resident.

Could it be Sarah Platt?

This week, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) visits the law firm, where she finds Damon and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).

Dee-Dee can’t help but notice the chemistry between the two.

Later, Damon finds Sarah eating alone at the Rovers and reminds her that his only intention is to put her to bed.

How will she react to his advances?

To make matters worse, Adam Barlow has had several disagreements with his wife Sarah in recent weeks.

With her intentions misaligned, there is a high risk that Sarah will find solace in another man.
