The Union Bears continue their attack on Rangers duo Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson while Banners have been spotted outside of Ibrox

RANGERS Ultras group Union Bears continue their protests against the club’s hierarchy ahead of tonight’s Premiership clash with Dundee United.

The Ibrox have won all but one of their league games under Michael Beale – the other being a draw against Celtic – since the Englishman arrived.

But that hasn’t stopped chief executive Stewart Robertson and the club’s sporting director Ross Wilson from getting it in the neck from a vocal section of the club’s supporters.

Ahead of the 4-2 win over Motherwell before the international break, the away side staged a mass protest against the duo.

Fans placed flyers with the directors’ crossed-out faces in the away-end seats – a week after hard-line Gers fans boycotted the Cup win over Raith in a board protest.

And with Rangers cracking down on certain banners in Ibrox on game days, the disgruntled Ultras had to get more creative in finding ways to protest.

And today that means placing banners against the duo over existing billboards on roundabouts in Broomloan Road.

One banner simply reads “time for a change”, while another had the two men’s faces marked in a manner similar to that used by angry Celtic fans when their offer for ten straight faded.

Michael Beale launched a sharp defense of athletic director Wilson in the wake of the Motherwell saga.

The ex-Southampton scout has been criticized for signings who haven’t made it onto the pitch as often as anyone at the club would have liked – often due to injuries.

But Beale insisted Wilson was a “24/7 football person” and that the two were the most important men at the club – and insisted there was “exciting work” going on behind the scenes.

He said: “I’ve always worked well with Ross. He walked in when I was at the club before and he was influential in bringing me back.

“We work fantastically together every day.

“He’s a 24/7 footballer, much like me, so we have the same energy.”
