Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Last night it released its latest trailer, which promises a truly bombastic journey into the quantum realm that will have huge consequences for the rest of the MCU. The focus of the story is the new major villain Kang the Conqueror, who returns fresh to the timeline afterwards Lokiand ready to destroy as many universes as necessary to get to the top.
Kang becoming the main villain in the next phase doesn’t bode well for Scott Lang, who appears to be in a dire and potentially deadly situation as he plays mano-a-mano with an opponent well above his usual punching power.
Although the trailer was very well received by fans (albeit with some VFX issues) Quantumania Author Jeff Loveness has a very odd perspective on this:
We’re not exactly sure what the joke is here, although Marvel fans love the chaos:
Everyone loves *checks notes* jokes about editing software:
Loveness started writing for the much missed Onion News Network YouTube channel, but he caused quite a stir with his Rick and Morty fourth season episodes and was soon tapped by Marvel to write them Quantumania Script. Kevin Feige clearly liked what he delivered since he was then picked up to write the next big Team Up film Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Even though he’s Coward’s new darling scriptwriter, we suspect that joking on Twitter about Goofy kidnapping your son and threatening you with a baseball bat will cause a stir in the notoriously strict Disney offices.
We’ll see the fruits of Loveness’s labors very soon, though Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17th.
