The accident on the A82 results in the one-way closure of the Erskine Bridge

All northbound lanes of the bridge are currently closed.

Traffic Scotland confirmed that rescue workers were on their way to the scene of the accident.

Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect delays.

A traffic bulletin said: “Due to a traffic accident, the A82 between Milton and Old Kilpartrick is closed to all northbound traffic.

“Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect a longer than normal travel time.”
