FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) — One of two teenagers arrested in the shooting death of a man during an apparent vape deal last spring has pleaded guilty.

Swar Hit, 16, pleaded guilty Thursday to a count of level 2 robbery related to the April 6 shooting of 21-year-old Luke Borror on the property of the New Covenant Worship Center at 3420 E. Paulding Road to have been spoken to.

Another teenager – 15-year-old Aung San Oo – is accused of murder. Oo is charged with murder, murder, robbery causing aggravated assault and using a firearm in the commission of a crime in the case.

According to Allen Superior Court documents, Borror had met Oo and Hit on church property to sell them nicotine vapes. Surveillance video captured what appeared to be a struggle over a backpack full of vapes during the meeting, and at one point Oo shot Borror, court records showed.

After that, both teenagers left the scene and Borrer was found dead, court documents say.

Days after the killing, a witness came to police with Facebook messages from Hit, claiming he was at the scene but did not shoot Borror, according to court documents. During an interview with Detectives, Hit said he and Oo planned to take vape pens from Borror without paying.

Walking to the meeting, he said Oo told him he had a gun, according to court documents. Hit and Borror ended up fighting over a bag of vape pens when the shootout happened.

During an interview with detectives, Oo attempted to say Hit carried out the shooting despite video evidence proving otherwise, court documents say.

Both teenagers were arrested days after the shooting.

Oo is scheduled to appear in court on November 15.

Hit will be sentenced on November 22nd.
