Everyone’s talking about the opening night of Taylor Swift’s epic film The Epoch Tour on Friday evening (March 17).

Thanks to the monstrous setlist (44 songs in three hours!), Swifties have a lot to unpack after their performance in “Swift City” – and a lot to talk about.

However, one moment that left the entire fandom speechless is that Taylor appears to dive off the stage.

After a piano performance of her debut single “Tim McGraw,” the only song she performed from her first self-titled album, Taylor stood and walked to the edge of the stage.

Wearing a flowing crimson dress, she appeared to leap from the main part of the stage onto the catwalk as if jumping into a pool.

Special visual and sound effects made it appear as if the stage had turned into a swimming pool, with Taylor swimming down to the very end.

On the big screen, Taylor appeared to climb a ladder out of the “pool” into the clouds before her dancers appeared backstage with giant cloud props.

Taylor then emerged at the back of the stage in a furry purple coat and began performing her latest single, “Lavender Haze,” from her recent record-breaking album midnight.

In video footage of the stage dive, fans sound visibly shocked as they yell “Oh my god!”

Online, the reaction was very similar, with fans left shaking, confused and gagged at Taylor’s onstage antics.

β€œYour mind is something else. What on earth did I just see? Wow,” said one amazed fan.

Another exclaimed, “This is the sickest thing I’ve ever seen.”

“That was really insane like the collective gasp…she can hold her breath for a really long time,” said a third.

There’s been an unfathomable amount of speculation surrounding Taylor Swifts The Epoch Tourwith fans guessing which songs would make the final setlist, who might appear as special guests, and trying to figure out if we’d finally hear the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” live (we did).

Some have expressed disappointment that more songs are out Speak Now And Taylor Swift weren’t on the set list, others are just amazed at how many unbelievable moments the singer gave us at the very first performance.

The Epoch Tour lasts until August in North America.
