Taoiseach registers as landlord for first time – The Irish Times
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has entered the latest interest register for TDs as a landlord.
In his register entry for 2022, Mr Varadkar describes himself as the landlord of an apartment at the Rosehaven Apartments on Carpenterstown Road in Castleknock, Dublin.
Under the heading ‘Other information provided’ Mr Varadkar has stated: ‘This is the only property I own or partially own.’ He also includes the property under the heading for land ownership.
It is the first time Mr Varadkar has entered a property on the register.
The flat was his home for many years, but in 2022 he and partner Matt Barrett moved into a house in Portobello, Dublin 8 that Dr. belongs to Barrett.
A spokesman said the apartment was rented for the first time in 2020 and Mr Varadkar’s statement applied to that year.
