Starbird Brings Bay Area Chickens to Southern California – Orange County Register

Starbird has opened its first Southern California restaurant in Hermosa Beach.

The Bay Area-based fast food chain specializes in crispy chicken for health-conscious diners. It launched last winter with two pop-up kitchens in the South Bay.

Starbird describes his chicken as never frozen and antibiotic-free. The menu features wings, tacos, sandwiches and salads. Side dishes include fries, coleslaw, and chicken breast fillet with churros. Drinks include craft sodas and homemade lemonade.

The chain opened its first restaurant in Sunnyvale in 2016. It was founded by Aaron Noveshen, who was also behind a food and beverage consulting firm called The Culinary Edge. At the time, he predicted that there was room for growth in the fried chicken market, which has turned out to be true.

The restaurant is located at 429 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Beach.
