For the past week, officers have attempted to serve an arrest warrant at where Dang lived, but he was not home at the time.

Dang is accused of shooting and killing two men on October 5 at the Tai Loi restaurant on the 12300 block of Bellaire Boulevard, near Cook Road in Alief.

According to police, several men armed with handguns entered the restaurant and shot dead Hanh Minh Nguyen, 63, and Long Nguyen, 51, while they were sitting in a booth.

After an initial investigation, police said they believe the two men were assaulted.

Further investigation identified Dang as one of the shooters, after which police said he was charged for his role.

Upon arrival, police found Dang barricaded inside the home and refused to cooperate with police. At that point, SWAT was called, officials said. Within hours, Dang peacefully surrendered and was taken into custody.

According to reports, no one but Dang was in the apartment at the time.
