Something Different by Eric at Bryn Mawr provides an opportunity for people with disabilities

BRYN MAWR, Pa. — Something Different by Eric is more than a business.

It is a place where people with disabilities can learn, work, find independence and grow.

The space opened in 2015 when Bernadette Wheeler and her husband decided to create something for their son Eric to call his own.

Born with Down Syndrome, Eric is now 30 years old and the inspiration behind Something Different By Eric.

Inside you’ll find unique gift ideas with everything from sports memorabilia to items for dog and cat lovers.

They try to find women-led companies and items that will inspire the next generation.

Eric works at the store as a welcome, stock and ambassador for the store.

They hope to expand the business to other people with disabilities who work in the business and plan to support and advocate for families with disabled members.
