Santa Barbara Wine Country comes to Orange County Thursday, November 17 – Orange County Register

The Santa Barbara County Wine Region hosts a series of fall events in Orange County. The tastings were so popular that all but one night were sold out. The remainder of the Thursday, November 17 experience will include small-scale production and coveted wines and small bites from the culinary team at Wine Gallery, a wood-fire kitchen and wine bar in Laguna Beach. The non-profit Santa Barbara Vintners Association hosts these events to encourage local travelers to visit and explore the area’s wineries.

Santa Barbara’s valleys create a patchwork of microclimates and landscapes. This results in a variety of wine-growing regions. Located 130 miles north of Orange County, Santa Barbara has seven AVAs with more than 300 wine labels. In 2021, Santa Barbara Wine Country was named Wine Lover’s Wine Region of the Year. The area and its winemakers continue to win awards. This year’s Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Star Awards will honor Santa Barbara County’s William Foley with the Wine Star 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award.

At Thursday’s event in Laguna Beach, guests will learn which wines are best gifted and served this holiday season. Tickets cost $25 and are expected to sell out.
