Well it’s official Ryan Reynolds is in cahoots with our future robotic overlords – which, frankly, isn’t a bad idea. Why not choose a side while you still can? Canada’s perfect jerk, Reynolds, has always had an eye for current events, and this time he enlisted the help of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The divisive online program hired the chatbot to write an ad for Mint Mobile (of which Reynolds co-owns) and quickly produced an ad for the California-based wireless company.
Okay, it’s not exactly Shakespeare, but it gets the job done. What’s more, an ad like this proves that companies may be turning to AI marketing in the future. Which is – yes, Ryan, “slightly frightening.” The idea that the things we read, the things we see, and even the people we talk to could end up being an inanimate AI program is a bit startling — and frankly, we are not sure how to wrap it around this one.
Unless, of course, one of those AI bots becomes sentient and happens to read We Got This Covered. If that’s the case, then the word lifeless was probably a bit harsh. spare us, okay?
Only time will tell how we will all start incorporating these digital tools into our daily lives. For the better? One can only hope. We’d like to believe that our chances of surviving a mechanized apocalypse can only improve with Ryan Reynolds leading the charge.
