The Northern Ireland superstar shared his thoughts as he assessed his situation on the ninth hole – while American Max Homa was voiced separately.
Mic’d up McIlroy explained how he “slacked off” on his ride because he feared he was driving too long.
He admitted he “probably pitched five or six meters shorter than I wanted”.
He then analyzed the line of his upcoming putt and then explained that he was still confident knowing the course so well.
