Roman Reigns may suffer a legitimate injury during the match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38

Roman Reigns cemented his status as the biggest star on the current WWE roster by becoming the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 38. He defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of The Show of Shows Night Two to tie both the WWE and Universal titles.

In the closing moments of the game, Lesnar used the Kimura Lock on Reigns. The tribal chief seemed so close to giving up and tapping, but Paul Heyman’s words of wisdom stopped him. Reigns then delivered a javelin to Lesnar and pinned it to win the match.

Many fans weren’t happy with the ending as it felt very rushed. However, the reason for this could be that Roman Reigns may have sustained a legitimate injury during the fight. WrestlingNews.co shared the following images on Twitter, clearly showing severe swelling on Reign’s arms after the Kimura lock point, suggesting he may have torn a muscle.

At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation from WWE regarding this. Hopefully nothing serious and The Tribal Chief can continue his dominant run on WWE television.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar had a highly entertaining rivalry

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have had numerous feuds over the past few years in WWE. Their most recent feud began at SummerSlam last year when Lesnar returned to face Reigns.

The unique aspect of their current feud was the shift in momentum, with Reigns being the heel and Lesnar being the babyface. Additionally, Paul Heyman’s involvement and questionable loyalty kept the rivalry interesting.

The two Superstars met for the first time at Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia where Reigns clinched victory thanks to some outside interference from The Usos. They were then scheduled to go head-to-head on day one earlier this year, but that match was canceled at the last minute due to The Tribal Chief testing positive for COVID-19.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar faced off as Universal Champion and WWE Champion, respectively, in the main event of WrestleMania 38’s Night Two tonight.

In what was billed by WWE as the “greatest WrestleMania match of all time,” Reigns took victory and is now the Unified WWE Universal Champion.
