Police say the driver had only recently bought the Ferrari F40 – originally built in 1987 and a car collector’s dream – when he was caught driving illegally.
Chuckling at the incident, Lowestoft Police said: “The Kestrels were stalking (as they usually are) and discovered a traffic offence.
“After a few checks, it turned out that this really expensive car that was recently bought didn’t have insurance.
“Oh man bad times…”
The Kestrels act as a national team in Suffolk, working at the neighborhood level to combat crime and criminal behaviour.
The Ferrari’s owner was left without a car after the salvage company towed it away.
The unknown driver only gets his smart motor back once he has taken out an insurance policy.
You will also be charged a £150 replacement fee and daily storage until the car is collected.
Elsewhere, another dangerous motorist nearly caused a major collision on the freeway. Watch the terrifying moment as this Asda van skids through heavy traffic almost on a collision course.
Meanwhile, this unfortunate luxury Range Rover owner was having a terrible day at a disastrous visit to the car wash.
The expensive car may have been washed more than expected.
