Richmond, Texas human trafficking investigation: SWAT officers seen outside home in Walnut Creek neighborhood

RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) — Human trafficking investigators were among law enforcement officers outside a house in Richmond for hours on Thursday.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said a woman was threatened with a gun and they are dealing with it as aggravated assault. The female victim was removed from the home and was with MPs. Officials said in a statement they are working to find out what led to it.
Police were on the scene from around 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
ABC13 crews at the scene saw SWAT team members armed with long guns enter the home on Monarch Forest Lane in the Walnut Creek neighborhood at around 2:20 p.m. after police repeatedly yelled over loudspeakers, “Sheriff’s Office.” search warrant.”
Crime scene units, detectives, human trafficking investigators, MPs and more were in attendance throughout the day.
A handcuffed man spoke to officers outside the home. It is unclear whether he has been charged.
Shortly thereafter, investigators searched a car parked in the driveway and attempted to break into another. They ended up towing the second car.
Neighbors said they saw activity in the one-story house late at night. One of them said that they recently noticed different people than normal in the house.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office did not provide additional information when asked and did not confirm human trafficking was involved.
A sergeant on site said they would send out additional information at some point.
