Republicans are doing everything they can to tank John Fetterman

What do you do when your Trump-backed candidate is a candidate in a crucial Senate race? unpopularPseudoScience peddling, carbohydrate bagging crawl who owns itself online damn almost every day? You naturally use your propaganda arm to ruthlessly attack his opponent.
That appears to be happening on Fox News, where primetime anchors have mentioned Pennsylvania Lieutenant Gov. John Fetterman a stunning one 120 times since Labor Day– more than six other competitive Democratic Senate candidates combined. (Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin candidates received 96 mentions total.)
Media Matters analyzed the shows Tucker Carlson tonight, Hannyand The Ingraham angle (God help them) to expose this Fetterman fixation as well as the fact that the hosts referenced the Republican candidate Mehmed Oz 48 times, more than double the number of other GOP candidates.
In a statement to Jezebel, Fetterman communications director Joe Calvello said: “The right echo chamber is doing everything it can to stop John because they know he’s going to take on Washington and the elites. But we’re not giving up a bit.”

Sean Hannity- who supports Oz in the primary – mentioned Fetterman the most at 52 times, followed by Tucker Carlson at 40, and Laura Ingraham at 28.
That attacks seem to be working: A July 28 Fox News poll showed Fetterman 11 points, 47 percent to 36 percent; but a new poll released Sept. 28 showed the race was tightening, with Fetterman’s lead up four points, 45 percent to 41 percent and within the margin of error of the survey. A Franklin & Marshall poll released this week also put Fetterman on a tight footing three points ahead and found his unfavorable reviews to pass 10 points since August.
If your candidate can’t find support on their own, you’re going to be very negative about their opponent and hope some voters will stay home.
Tucker Carlson spawned conspiracy theories about Fetterman’s tattoos, which prompted Fetterman to do so Write an essay about her for NBC News. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was also present obsessed with the ink, creates his own little saga about why tattoos are very scary, and yes, it goes on Hanny talk about.
Basically, Republicans have targeted the Pennsylvania Senate race as one they can win if they go all out, and Democrats don’t take the threat seriously enough. dr Oz is the worst candidate we’ve seen in at least a decade, and if he loses because Republicans manage to frame his tattoo as a gang tat — giving Republicans control of the Senate, the Democratic Party should be embarrassed.
