Recall to my first Disney character

EAST WINDSOR, NJ (WXIN) – Toys that were supposed to be the first toy figures for children are being recalled due to choking hazards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall affects “My First” Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, and Stitch figures. The figures, which stand approximately 4.25 to 5.25 inches tall, are made of soft vinyl and some have a bead rattle.

The recall was initiated after Kids Preferred received 10 reports of the characters’ arms or legs detaching. Although no injuries have been reported, the recalled items pose a small choking hazard to children.

The toys were sold from May 2022 to December 2022 at BuyBuy Baby and other toy and gift stores and bookstores nationwide and online at amazon.com.

Anyone with possession of the recalled toy should take it away from children and contact Kids Preferred for instructions on how to receive a full refund. Consumers who register for the recall will receive a prepaid shipping label that they can use to return the product to the company for a full refund.
