Real Madrid and Brahim Diaz close to agreeing on contract extension
Brahim Diaz is close to signing a new deal at Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until 2027.
Currently on loan at AC Milan, the 23-year-old’s current contract has 18 months remaining.
But the athlete be able to reveal that the club and the players have agreed in principle to extend the contract by two more years.
Diaz joined the club from Manchester City in 2019 and has made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals in that time.
He joined AC Milan in 2020 and has made 105 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in three periods.
Planning for next season is still in its infancy and no final decision has been made as to where Diaz will play his football.
Despite enjoying his time in Italy, staying and fighting for a place at Real Madrid has always been his priority.
He has scored five goals and provided two assists this season, including the winner against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Real Madrid next play against Osasuna on Sunday.
