Rajya Sabha News: Rajya Sabha’s trial was adjourned until Tuesday as the opposition protested the price increase

Rajya Sabha’s trial was adjourned for a day on Monday amid protests by opposition parties seeking a debate on issues related to the rise in fuel prices. Several opposition members had said they would discuss the price hike situation, but Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu did not accept the request.

As soon as the house reassembled at 2:00 p.m. after two interruptions, the opposition members rose again and demanded a discussion on the price increase of petrol, diesel and LPG (cooking gas).

Meanwhile, TMC leader Derek O’Brien wanted the House of Representatives to take up the issue of reserving women in the House.

The chairman tried to put the house in order and called Labor Minister Bhupender Yadav to respond to a discussion on the work of the Labor and Employment Ministry.

However, the opposition continued to protest and some of them stormed into the well of the house.

Sasmit Patra, who was in the chair, adjourned the session for today.
