Quantumania ignores bad buzz to hit a franchise high at the box office

Since Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania debuted in theaters in the United States on Friday, reviews from critics have been overwhelmingly negative. But that doesn’t seem to bother fans at all, as they continue to flock to see the start of Phase 5 in terms of box office.

How come there are so many less than positive reviews of the film circulating around the internet? Simple – critics don’t control fans when it comes to the love they have for Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton and of course Jonathan Majors, who plays the role of Kang, the new big villain of the MCU, has conquered .
Obviously, fan love is enough for the film to dominate the box office. meeting predicts it would hit $115 million by Sunday because there’s a dynamic between moviegoers who get their tickets in advance and walk-ups who buy them at the window. Given the glaring difference between the critics’ score and the high audience score the film has on Rotten Tomatoes, Quantumania Fans even attacked the site. As it follows a system whereby an overall score is compiled based on all of a film’s reviews, the site cannot be held liable. But as far as the critics’ reviews go, fans make a good point to an extent. Oftentimes, critics review a film as if there were a template to follow, like a conveyor belt of cookie cutters with no heart or soul. This only serves to create a discrepancy as ticket sales tell a different story from what it is when it comes to measurement Quantumanias success.
